For food, cosmetics or souvenirs, ask what the product contains, where it comes from and how it should be stored. Compare the quality and final price rather than buying under pressure. Avoid assuming that every item labelled argan has the same intended use; culinary and cosmetic products serve different purposes.
Combine the visit sensibly
Leave space afterwards for a meal or a quieter walk. A market visit can be tiring with young children, so plan breaks and a clear return route. Keep the visit separate from any promise of a specific opening time or bargain: both require checking on the day.
