Ask whether a proposed excursion includes access to the site, transport only or a guided visit. These are different services. Confirm ticket arrangements, the meeting point and any walking involved. Keep time to pause rather than scheduling your next activity immediately after the return.
Prepare for an exposed visit
Check visibility and weather for the day. Bring water and footwear suitable for the walking required. If step-free access is essential, ask about the whole route, including the vehicle drop-off and entrance, rather than relying on a general accessibility label. Treat the site as a place to understand the city, not only a viewpoint.
